  3. I learned from Mr.Evans that he became a teacher before he wrote books.I also learned that he wrote a book about Meredith and the GVP team, but it did not come out yet.I really did not know that Mr.Evens first book was Apple Island. Some other questions I have is that where he got the producers names like Prince Oh or Queen Mamuumu? A few other questions that I have is that why did he chose to be a writer after he was a teacher. What was the most challenging book he written and why did he chose to be a writer.

I learned that authors often don't think about things outside the story like who and where Adam's dad is. I also learned that where Adam started in the book was about where Douglas Evans lives. Another question I would like to ask him is what his next book is about and when it is going to come out.

  14. I wouldn't think that Mr. Douglas had known Roald Dahl and is producing a original book. I am at a loss for words that his consort has accommodations in Finland!

Notice anything strange about this post? No E in it!

  15. Today when we Skyped with Douglas Evans, I learned that he is married and his wife is in Finland right now. I also learned that he made a book series called "The Elevator Family" and the family lived in a elevator. The the second to last thing I learned was that when he decided that he was going to use colors to describe things, he had a coloring box right in front of him to get the colors' names. The questions that I have are, "what was his favorite crayon color that he used?" Finally, does he like teaching or writing more (what job does he like the most)?

  25. Today we skyped with Douglas Evans. I learned that Douglas Evans likes Mexican food and owns a farm in England. I can't believe that he wrote a GVP book with Merideth traveling in space.Three years is a lot of time to write a book and that is how long it took to write MVP. It must be hard to find all that research. The book Noe School must be hard because you can't use the letter E in the entire book! What is weird is that Shypoke Crisp is a real person and Baron Von Sheepsbottom is from the internet. I wonder what inspired him to write "Elevator Family" and how long it took him to write it? Another question I had was has he been to all of the places on Adam's bucket list? Finally, has he ever had a pet, if he has for how long, what type, and how many?

  31. I learned today tha MVP is probably Douglas Evans longest story he has written.
Mr. Evens loves Mexican food and lives in California.
He said that he got the idea for Adam to travel around the world in 40 days from the book "Around the World in 80 days". He also made a GVP book
already. Mr. Evens is currently reading the book Peter Pan. When he was writing the book MVP he said he had to look up
what time the trains were and when the timing was. He told us that he used crayola colors because he knows
that kids love colors. One qeustion I would like to ask him is "What inspired him to be an author?".

  34. I learned that Douglas Evans used the colors because a lot of kids love color full things and I didn't know that the illlistrator was from Japan . I also didn't there was a korean MVP book. And that he was friends with Roald Dahl.

  35. Today I learned that Douglas Evans was a teacher before starting his life as a author, that Shypoke Crisp was based on a man he met in England, and he has a house in England. Also, he had written a sequel to MVP with Meredith trying to cross the world in space, his favorite food is Mexican, and he wrote a whole book with out using the letter “e” called the “Noe School”. Some more things are that in MVP there was a palindrome which was a whole paragraph. Douglas Evans met Ronald Dahl and used his saying “If you’re going to have a bad guy, make him real bad” which helped him come up with the personality of Baron Von Sheepsbottom, and Baron Von Sheppsbottom’s name came from a list of English names.
The question that I have for Mr. Evans is "does he plan to stay author full time or go full time as a music composer?’. I learned a lot about Douglas Evans and look forward to reading another one of his books. :)
